No...not a fan of the pet or the owner too much. The owner is a co-worker and is not a horrible person, but is defintely not on my "admirable people" watchlist. And the pet has the EXACT same personality as the owner....so, I'd actually like to be out of that relationship (both dog and owner). When you say inner alien, do you mean the soul? Or do you literally mean E.T.? i'm assuming it's the latter.

It's also weird that you mention that I am being led away from forming a bond with this person. I have worked with or right next to this person for 10 years! I have never allowed myself to become close to this person. Constantly in a state of discontent or some other ugly, outwardly projected attitude. I feel that this person has actually really screwed up who I am as a person!! I think just from the "proximity effect" of being near this toxic person for sooooo long. I feel I have allowed myself to be changed for the worse but have no choice as this is a sweet job and I have nowhere else to go to work.
