The reason marijuana is talked about so much is because it is illegal and alcohol is legal so there is some obvious bias in the law. If it was legalized there would not be such a need to focus on it. In my area of the country, it is hard to find weed but there are boozers out on the roads every night. Today's paper reported alcohol and pot use are on the rise with young people, but around here it is mostly alcohol that the kids consume to excess and thus many car wrecks and alcohol poisonings happen every year. I would rather my kids smoke pot (if they must experiment with wildness) than drink because alcohol kills brain cells, harms the body and is highly addictive and makes you do dangerous things while mj has a more sedative effect.

I have smoked on and off for a few years, and it NEVER decreased my energy, ever. It's just a great plant to smoke when you want to feel super relaxed.. and let me tell you, I'm female, and it is GREAT for cramps, headaches and extreme fatigue during the shitty time of the month. I don't have to dread it anymore..

I believe that Cathy O'Brien mentioned that marijuana made people LESS succeptable (sp?) to mind control.
