A Professor of Bioethics Peter Singer reckons people within the meat industry have deliberately devised the slaughtering process in such a way as to increase suffering in animals.
I guess it's obvious why they'd do this. Where did you hear about it?

Hey man, this loosh stuff is way out there. I'm pretty open to ideas but this stretches the envelope somewhat. That said, however, I find it interesting to note that Singer is considered irrational for believing that they deliberately cause suffering to animals! Hmmmm...
