Does Anybody Really Win The Lottery?

Its rigged they never assign anyone that will actually invest the money wisely. They have an entire cadre of accountants, investors, etc like vultures that descend on the winner, so it has to be a patsy that does not know what to do with the $$.

In the UK, a couple won £26 million on the Euro-millions Lottery.

That's in a tax-free lump-sum, BTW!

In the USA, a lotto winner will get about 1/3 of the advertised amount, by declining an annuity (rip-off), and paying the IRS their blood-money.

Interesting, I was also thinking about that. Guys from my office are buying tickets, but I never ever met someone who won something serius.

I know someone who won 3M. He is a friend of the family. Some people have more luck than others I guess. I have never won more than $7 and do not play much either.

When I see that the lottery is up to some ungodly amount like; $225 million and One person "Seemingly" wins it, I can't help but wonder what happens to that winner?

You don't see them writing a book or going on TeeVee to become the next star of the new reality show "How I Became A Millionaire"

And of course, my Skeptic brain says "Nobody won-- it's a scam.

I'm more prone to ask myself where that $225 Million went to and why can't they give some of that to me.

Most people who win blow it on stupid shit and are poor again.

My ex won the very first National lottery in the UK.

The winner is just some Joe Blow from Cuntlick County, Ark., who is wheeled out before the cameras to accept his check, then is quietly 911-ized, shortly after.

The monet goes to some sinister Jewbank, in Israel!

There have been a few winners that were smart with their winnings, they have had TV shows on them before...most end up blowing their money and running out...that fucking idiot from West Virginia won over $200 million after taxes and ended up losing it all because of family, friends, and whatnot...

I'd disappear off the radar if I won the lottery, no one, not even family would know what the fuck happened to me for a long, long time.

Guy I know won $4 million in lotto couple of years back, does happen, although I think the gods must have been shining down on him that day he he.

My boss and her sister won $17million Christmas 2008.

Well, now that I think of it, I remember a couple I once knew who won the lottery. This was in MI in the 80s when there was a bad recession. They worked as cooks at Denny's (I worked there too at the time), and they won $1 million. It was strange because they wouldn't say one word about it except that they had no intention of quitting their jobs as Denny's cooks. They were still working there when I quit.

My ex-girlfriend's Mom won about 2.5 million years ago. She split it with 10 other people from work(they all won, lottery pool).

A friend of my wife's won 14million in the powerball about 2 years ago in PA.

I know. But it was almost worth it for the thrill. I thought I'd have a heart attack between looking at the 5th and 6th number.

If I won the lottery I would blow it so fast on drugs and OD within 6 months. Then the goverment could take the rest of my money and use it however they wanted, because I would be too fucked up to make a will. And have no dependents.

So looks like im winning the jackpot tonight!

Yes, my step-son's in-laws won $27 million dollars. Screwed up family IMHO. Some of them already near bankruptcy. Others fighting for "their" money NOW instead of over twenty years. Glad I never got involved in it all. Nothing like lots of money to bring out the paranoia.

Friend of mine won 100k in 1999. Put it all into a company and became a half partner. A few years later bought out the other partner and has been running the company ever since. He's done very well financially and has made back his original 100k investment a few times over.

LOL....I once won a PACKAGE via second drawing on lottery in another state, but never over a couple hundred dollars on scratchers. The lotto same..maybe ten or so dollars.
