The Bing image is older than the Google Earth image - look at the land off the SE end of runway 5, Bing shows them clearing the land, machines still in place with bare dirt - GE shows the land recovering, maybe one or two seasons growth, Plus whoever parked all those white vehicles there painted a yellow parking grid on the floor, Bing has no corresponding paint marks. So the GE Jan 3rd 08 image makes the Bing image 06, or 07 at the latest. Why would Bing have an out of date image, is it just to hide what's there now?

When I lived near the port of Tacoma I would see new cars stored like this. The painted parts of the cars would be covered with some sort of white film. That's my guess.

They were practicing last year with multi-national partners.

Just talked to the airport manager, Mr. McGowan, and he said that those vehicles were unmarked white minivans. Unusual part is that they were all equipped with four side folding beds as if for human transport. Said one morning he came to work and all 3,565 were gone.
