I know so many that worship to perfection..pray daily..quote scriptures etc..but their hearts? their love? their empathy? compassion?
To behave as Christ taught us and to do it out of love and not fear..out of service to Him and to please Him and not out of self service seeking eternal reward
Quoting: wildhoney yes, i know what you mean. Was it Augustine who said "love and do what you will." In other words, if love is your motive then you will not transgress against God or others. Ilike that and understand that..very much :) expect of course love of self..and if no hurt is caused to innocent others Sometimes its a curse to be able to read other peoples hearts :) because nothing is hidden..you see their pain and sorrow..but you also see their faults and errors..deceits and half truths yet who is without sin cast the first stoneso I guess one should find solace in collective mediocrity?lol The underlined part did make me chuckle a bit. Following Jesus Christ wholeheartedly is just not an easy thing. We stumble every day. The hearty soul continues to get back up and continues the journey.
