Energy can escape a closed system....with what science terms: Spontaneous Process
Always thought that this released energy was there before as POTENTIAL energy. So nothing really "escapes" the system.
But I might be wrong...
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1032554Another funny thing to ponder about modern physics and thermodynamics since we are at it. It is said that the entropy of a system (the Universe?) is always increasing: "In a system, a process that occurs will tend to increase the total entropy of the universe." Reminder about Entropy: Entropy is a macroscopic property of a system that is a measure of the microscopic disorder within the system. Well, I don't know about you, but I see one force always opposing to the general increase of entropy of a system. Yup, it's called LIFE. So is the second law of thermodynamics wrong? If you consider that physics should not take LIFE into account, then no. But is our Universe lifeless?
