The reason we are in the shit we are in is that most folks haven't a clue about finance and economics and swallow anything a supposed expert says ..... Starting with "sure you can afford that house!" 23.7 trillion is a bullshit number designed to elicit exactly the responses posted above. The actual number is about 3 trillion. Which isn't chump change. And most of it went to GM/GMAC. That's the unions. And Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. That's Barney frank and friends. Not the banks. |
