This isn't your starter econ 101 book - it's more like 3.x or 4.x

It is a group effort from four PhDs with moderation and editing by some women who fixed the readability so the outcome could be comprehended.

It is quite challenging to incite people to WANT to gain understanding and be informed. Because people in general are so complacent and tend to think the government would not allow anything "bad" to happen to them, they are finding themselves getting sucked into a black hole. Once you cross the event horizon, you are DONE!

Why don't people care that our currency is DEBT? We pay and are paid with IOUs. Our whole system, our currency is CREDIT, not anything of value. We are being paid with NEGATIVE instruments. What a brilliant scheme these gang banksters have perpetrated on the public. They never even loan money. They only give credit. The whole scheme is and has always been a ticking bomb. IT HAS TO BLOW UP EVENTUALLY! There is no alternative than it imploding on itself. That is where we are now.

Implementing the Federal Reserve was the beginning of the end for us. It just goes to show you that anyone can get enough politicians in their pockets to accomplish the grandest or most nefarious fetes. Due to the lack of uncompromising integrity, there are probably only about 1 in a 1000 politicians who cannot be compromised via blackmail, bribery or intimidation. It is disgusting!

Well, guess what, folks?? It is UP TO US TO FIX THIS. We need not expect or count on the government to fix themselves. IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!

The Money Scam is hidden right out in the open, yet buried in complication and confusion.

Bernard Lietaer argues that the monoculture of money is what creates economic instability, leading to liquidity crises. He calls for a greater diversity of alternative currencies, citing innovative and enormously successful initiatives like the Lithuanian Doraland Economy, the Torekes in Belgium and Switzerland's famous alternative currency, the WIR.

Bernard Lietaer was born in Belgium in 1942 and has taught at the university level in the United States. He helped design the Euro and was a currency speculator at one time. Lietaer has submitted papers on contract to the United Nations and his last book was written in collaboration with several others as a proposal to the Club of Rome.

Nearly everyone who writes about the Mondragon Cooperative misses the salient point I consider of the highest importance. This salient point is found in several books but without emphasis.

The point is the organizational structure places the Caja Laboral Bank management into a subordinate position to the overall cooperative management. Bank profits are recycled within the cooperative and the bank is prohibited from outside ventures such as purchasing "collateralized debt obligations" and/or financing tin-horn dictators. The largest "borrower" is the cooperative which means the borrower owns the lender. The Mondragon Cooperative is a self-financing operation and their issuance of notes is backed by the industrial output of the cooperative.

This situation could exist in a nation. A nation that owned its' central bank.
