New Moon VS Solar Eclipse
[link to en.wikipedia.org]

In astronomical terminology, the phrase new moon is the lunar phase that occurs when the Moon, in its monthly orbital motion around Earth, lies between Earth and the Sun, and is therefore in conjunction with the Sun as seen from Earth. At this time, the dark (unilluminated) portion of the Moon faces almost directly toward Earth, so that the Moon is not visible to the naked eye.

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, and the Moon fully or partially covers the Sun as viewed from some location on Earth. This can only happen during a new moon, when the Sun and Moon are in conjunction as seen from Earth. At least two, and up to five, solar eclipses occur each year; no more than two can be total eclipses.[1][2] Total solar eclipses are nevertheless rare at any particular location because totality exists only along a narrow path traced by the Moon's umbra.

the Moon, ..., lies between Earth and the Sun... (NEW MOON)
the Moon...passes between the Sun and the Earth... (SOLAR ECLIPSE)

Where is our other solar eclipses?? 365 days (1 year, 12 months) / 29 days (moon cycle rotation around the earth) = 12.58 months...

12 - 2 (At least two,..., no more than two can be total eclipses) = 10

where is our 10 missing solar eclipses??????

12 - 5 (and up to five, solar eclipses occur each year) = 7

where is our 7 missing solar eclipses???????

WHERE ARE OUR 7 TO 10 MISSING SOLAR ECLIPSES EACH YEAR??

like to hear from you all!!!

What do you mean not visible?

What kind of drugs are you on?

If the Moon faces almost directly toward Earth -- why is it invisible? Its in the daylight!

ohhh i see, i forgot inclination?
well incline this in your lazy boy psychics class...
if the moon is aligned in a incline from earth to the sun view, then the moon is is no longer hidden during new moon phase and is visible as a lunar arc. because inclined or not, anywhere the moon is ASIDE from being in front of the sun between the earth and sun, the moon HAS light shining on it. CAUSING a lunar arc. buh bye hidden new moon phase... for now! =)

oh i see its one of those, ummm partial eclipses, so we see this 7 to 10 times a year? and we look up at the sun and have another one of those...

did you learn english from a cracker-jack box?
in the KING of Jaco post, the moon arc shown in black takes up one fifth of the space of the sun, the moon itself is more or less the same size as the sun.

so why cant we see one fifth of the sun blacked out 7 to 10 times a year? and why is the rest of the moon black if the light being reflected off the earth back towards the moon is not showing us anything less than utter black?

Punisher, just because you don't understand it, doesn't mean it isn't true. This likely applies to most things in the world. I seriously wonder how you grasp the concept of remembering to breathe. It seems beyond your mental capabilities.

The funniest thing about this thread is Punisher replying to himself with the names of hey amigo and king of jaco. Is anybody actually fooled by his lame attempt at trolling?

Re: New Moon VS Solar Eclipse
Does the OP really believe all the stuff he posts about the mysteries of how the Earth-Moon system work or is he just playing around to see how mad he can get people?

Because if he really believes all this garbage he's one of the most ignorant people I have ever come across. If he's just trolling he's brilliant.
