Anonymous Coward 12/08/2005 10:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 4344īs idea is just about the safest and easiest way to do it. I suggest you donīt try anything that will allow you to put it into your tank pure, because thatīs just asking for trouble. Gas cans are designed to be safe with highly flamable liquid in them. |

Gabrial 12/08/2005 10:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ok, here is several ways you can do this. You can buy seltzer water, soda water, in glass bottles. They are clear. Take a permenant magic marker, dump 2 oz of water into it, mark it. Dump 2 more oz of water in it, mark it. Dump 2 more, mark it, and up the side of the bottle each time marking 2oz, 4oz 5oz, 6oz and so on. If you do it in 2oz incriments, then as you pour it into your gas tank, you have the ounces marked on the bottle. If you use any, long necked bottle with a screw top cover, prefferably glass, you can see exactly how much you are putting in your gas tank, the long neck helps get it inside your tank with no leaks. You can tightly screw the bottle closed, and if you make a nest for it, like a tall padded basket to protect it, you can keep it safe in your boot with no smells until you gas up again. I would suggest after you have your permanent magic marker lines, that you get some blue painters tape, and cut thin lines of it, and put the 2oz markers with tape that will not rub off, and you can write on the tape. Another suggestion was made by a man who purchased this product that they put out that keeps gas from gumming up during winter storage. It is red and comes in a solid heavy duty plastic container that has a pump system so you can put one ounce up from the bottom and into the long neck and pour that out. He dumped out the stuff that comes in the bottle and cleaned it out good and then filled it with his acetone. IT doesnīt melt. Also this bottle is already premarked and you can also see insided at your acetone. The 3rd suggestion was to empty a oil bottle that has a see through plastic line going up the side, and that also has marked off ounces. I hope any and all these suggestions help. Also if you put the acetone in just before the gas, by the time it does all the sloshing of being filled, the acetone is disapated into the gas and well mixed. |

Anonymous Coward 12/08/2005 10:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i use it to wash hands, after work operations it will eat some plastics, but polypropalyene is safe, as i buy it in 20 ltr containers of this recomend you use a glass measureing vessel for mix there is another system where the acetone is added to water as these are misable the ratio is about 10/1 water to acetone this turns the water a milky white color another hole is made just below butterfly valve in carboretta and another fuel line is put in here, you start your engine on petrol and once warmed up switch over to water acetone with petrol line open also the water vapourizes and combusts with acetone and petrol which gives you much more power and greater mileage advise carrying an extinguisher in car as acetone is much more violent than petrol when it gets going. |

Anonymous Coward 12/08/2005 10:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | what a bunch of dickwads,no 1,acetone will kill your oxygen sensor, when that happens your auto will start runnng richer, use more fuel, will not pass your state emision standards if you have any, also will make your combustion burn alot hotter, and with the aluminum pistons that most engines use now will melt,if you want more milegage from gasoline, all you have to do is come up with a way to spray water in the fuel sys |
