Can someone here interpret a dream?
A very strange & lucid dream I had yesterday.

I am in an open-top railcar. The car has a crack in the side that I am peering through. I see a huge lion. It is standing beside a swimming pool that has no one in it. There are no other people in the dream, just me. The swimming pool is a beautiful blue, and is surrounded by a fairly high chain link fence. I am watching the lion (huge) through the crack when he whirls around, jumps the fence and comes flying into the railcar. I stand perfectly still as he walks toward me, our eyes are locked. He gets right in front of me and raises up on his hind legs. His claws are out and he puts them on each side of my head lightly and starts to move them down my arms. His claws are just barely scratching me (like a fingernail). I stand up really straight and say "enough!" and he turns and runs, jumps out of the car & he's gone. I woke up with my heart pounding like a drum.

Interpretation, anyone?

Your connection to Divinity is strong, and you are about to overcome a huge obstacle. What a wonderful dream.

The Lion: Not there to harm you, but as a protector.
Putting his paws on your head before he lightly scratched the claws up and down your arms, A Blessing. And he could have shredded you, not lightly scratched, but didn't. When you demanded he leave, he respected it. Not feared. That he jumped and reacted quickly moving into the rail car with you; He sensed danger to/about you. The fact that there were no other people, but you and 'him' around, it's because when the danger goes down, God will be there with you, ( in whatever way you perceive God, or Spirituality ) to protect you. Open rail car; a situation of risk.
The open and the fast movement: element of risk with little protection, open. Crack to peek through. God always gives us just enough to see Him, in part, a glimpse, and then He's there. The swimming pool, Lion standing next to water, high chain fence; Water sign of purity, refreshment, flowing, healing, cleansing.
And The Lion stands alongside, his properties.
Leaps the fence in one quick swoop; nothing can stand between you and God's protection. Nothing can stop God from getting to you. That's just my interpretation.
But, because I believe in God, my interpretation would lean towards God. Another's interpretation perhaps will be different. But, hope it brings encouragement or helps.
And I felt and intuited nothing but good, but a protection; protective presence from/in your dream.
I also got the 'impression' you were more overwhelmed and awed than frightened. Your "enough" was not capitalized and the meeting of the eyes, a silent trust passed between you and Mr Lion. That 'he' asked permission for; hands on side of your head and looking into your eyes.
And God is A Gentleman. :) And Lion was "Huge".

PS As A Believer in Yeshua ~ Lion of The Tribe of Judea visited you. But that is only per my perspective spirited in my belief.

Re: Can someone here interpret a dream?
i think its very difficult for anyone to accurately interpret anyone else's dreams for the simple fact that most interpretation is based upon universal symbols...

whether or not we conciously aknowledge it, most of us have personal definition within these symbols so its next to impossible to know what a symbol means to an individual on a personal level and even more implausible to be able to properly interpret how and where it was placed or why....

Here is my opinion only on the meaning:

Railcar = your future

open railcar = future revealed to you

crack in side = you were worried about future and so had prayed about it

what you see through crack is your answer to prayer

swimming pool is mission field of mainstream church (those who have not known depths of Satan minister there; that it is a manmade pool and not a naturally formed body of water = organized agenda as oppossed to say something borne of a wilderness experience like John the Baptist had)

empty pool means something frightened missionaries (regular church going Christians) away.

lion represents that something that is feared; lion represents attack on church; lion are principalities and powers of darkness; dark rulers over places; Satan goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour;

Christians don't want to return to mission field (pool) for fear of attack by these forces

fence is to keep lion in so he doesn't cause more damage; angelic protection; angels can protect and protect but they are not going to fight the fight of faith for you

powers (the lion) know when someone has been given permission to see future and/or into their kingdom of darkness. They attack you because you were given revelation they had hoped would remain secret.

Powers wanted to attack you for your revealing dream and faith, but they are powerless to do so only when you stand firm in your belief (I stand up really straight and say "enough!"; resist the devil and he will flee).

Re: Can someone here interpret a dream?
This is just my opinion, but here goes:

Lions often represent Jesus or God. Now, you see the lion in a fenced in area, a high fence, often the idea of heaven is a fenced off area, ie pearly gates, which is actually referring to the gates of new Jerusalem.

Now the open topped rail car, is a vehicle that you have no control over. It is symbolic of you being driven by life, out of your control, and life does have many things in it that are out of our control. The reason the top is down is because there is a heaven above, but you are here, down below in a box, safe, and yet, not feeling safe. You peer through the crack at something, the lion, the water.

I would say that you sense there is something to religion, to heaven, but you only see a part of it. There is water there for you, guarded by the lion, but then, the lion comes to you, and instead of killing you, begins to try to wake you up, get your attention by slightly hurting you, scratching you, but you are afraid of what the lion represents, for if you follow the lion/jesus, you will not feel as safe, for it leads to getting out of that rail car, that stability, that box that is everyday life.

The unknown, and God are scary. You may even already be a Christian, but many Christians are learning that their leaders are false teachers, and they have begun to question God because of those false teachers.

Either way, this is a warning, get out of that box or be prepared for God to scratch you up a bit to get you out.

Re: Can someone here interpret a dream?
Tonight reminds me of another great night in my life. There have been three.

One night several years ago I was at prayer meeting. Our church is huge,. I was sitting near the back that night. When the service was over, as I was at the end of my row to leave I saw a woman coming down the aisle from the front. She had her eyes on me. She was a complete stranger to me. She grabs me and hugs me and says "this is for you" and presses a folded up note into my hand. I waited until I got to my car to read it. It said, "your father, Jesus, loves you very very much." I still have the note. So, you see, this makes three times something so WONDERFUL, beyond wonderful have happened to me...and tonight would never have happened had it not been for the two of you, dear Humbird, and dear Pixie. May God bless and keep you both.

I am thunderstruck.

I respectfully have to disagree.

Look at what the lion does to the dreamer. Aspires to attack but can't; dreamer is terrified; dreamer stands firm and commands "enough". Lion runs away as if terrified itself.

Those actions do not speak of a loving God/Jesus Christ.

I am not a dream interpreter, but, if our dreams indicate something in our subconscious that we are suppressing then your dream would indicate to me that, you are torn about whether or not you want to become a christian. How it could complicate your life and place you at odds with the people you love that don't share your beliefs.

I may need to clarify a few things. The railcar was just sitting still. Like it hadn't been moved in a long time. I was holding my breath, but not terrified when he reared up on his hind legs. Just thought I would clear that up.

I respectfully have to disagree.

Look at what the lion does to the dreamer. Aspires to attack but can't; dreamer is terrified; dreamer stands firm and commands "enough". Lion runs away as if terrified itself.

Those actions do not speak of a loving God/Jesus Christ.

Consider that God uses tribulation to bring the sinners at the last days to him in repentence. Rev 16:8-11

8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched [1] with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. 10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, 11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

I am not a dream interpreter, but, if our dreams indicate something in our subconscious that we are suppressing then your dream would indicate to me that, you are torn about whether or not you want to become a christian. How it could complicate your life and place you at odds with the people you love that don't share your beliefs.

If a lion attacked me, I would not think it a blessing. Apparently neither did the swimmers in the pool.

The lion lunges towards you but Jesus would simply ask you to follow Him; He doesn't lunge towards you. Getting up on the hind legs is a posture a lion uses when he is about to clamp of the neck of an upright walking human (lions kill by clamping shut the windpipe). You commanded the lion to stop. It did. Then it ran away from you. Doesn't sound like God to me. I could go on but the point is, the lion is not a good token.

In my opinion you should reconsider any interpretation that puts the lion in your dream in a good light.

The railcar standing still means a specific concern is being addressed before you move on (ie you wouldn't be able to see what was happening through the crack if the railcar was moving).
