| neetoh@yahoo.com User ID: 933540 04/03/2010 06:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i have a little dog with a breast tumor that has grown to the outside of her i m not able to afford the vet so i started using red clover, chickweed and dandelion. this worked to keep the growth down. when i ran out of this concoction the tumor grew and she was not doing so good. i started using just red clover as i was lucky to find some in a herb store. the red clover works very well instead of giving her water i gave her red clover tea with no tea added just steep the red clover like u would tea let it cool and it worked by energizing her and also made the tumor very soft with no growth. as long as i gave her this the tumor did not gain any size it actually started getting smaller. now i have heard about wheat grass and something i m not able to locate which is hash oil. hash oil is supposed to work. i m giving her the wheat grass and the tumor has shrunk and she is doing great. now i read about baking soda. i will try this too and see if it works as well as i have read. but i do know that red clover does work. if i put a poultice on the tumor she would eat it which consisted of dandelion root, red clover, garlic, chickweed and aloe. i m not able to put a poultice on her as she will work at getting to the poultice and the coverings i have used would not stay on her long enough to see any results. if i could keep the aloe vera on her even for a night it kept the tumor looking good. anyways try this red clover, wheat grass for the dog with a tumor as it is working great. but i will try the baking soda to end the smell that emits from the tumor and see what happens. it has been a battle since last july but i m not giving up. i tried the homeopathy method and sadly she started getting lumps so i stopped. as she has more teats than one and it is only one that is affected i could not allow for her other teats to become affected with lumps. one is hard enough to battle with never mind adding to the problem of more lumps. hash oil made from pot leaves. i read this article in a magazine called high times and the fellow rick simpson swears by this method. unfortunately i could only locate the wheat grass and that is working great. but my answer to all of this is do your research try what u think will work as for me i am not able to afford the vet bill. so i had no other choice but to use what i could find in the herbs. so far so good. |

I have no idea what it was but I started putting Aloe Vera from a plant I have. The raised area was gone in less than a week. He could have been injured but to me it looked like some type of growth or tumor. Peace to you. |

I'm not stupid. The tumor was tested as a fatty tumor.I just am looking for an alternative cure, if anyone has one. And will go away again if continue. Good luck. |

But dogs were meant to run and hunt and eat raw meat from a kill. Today, they are domesticated and get no exercise and the food we feed them is crap. It's not much different that the fat pre-teen kids who spend all day in front of the X-Box munching on Cheeto's and guzzling Diet Pepsi who's idea of a home cooked meal is a HotPocket from the microwave ! |

I here it works wonders ! There's got to be one in every pet health thread. What an ass. My dog got one at an injection site, really pissed me off. If they removed, it would have made a permanent dent/scar, not to mention the cost of surgery... damn vets! see another vet, regardless, search for a holistic, or one leaning that way if at all possible. Good luck, whatever you do. |

| Cat question User ID: 4726999 03/02/2013 10:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My beloved cat has a benign tumor that has grown to be very large and uncomfortable (about the size of two golf balls). Because she is 20 years old, vets do not want to risk surgery. A vet wants to put an elasticator ring (rubber band) on it so the blood supply to it will be cut off and it will fall off in 7-10 days. He says he has done it to other animals successfully and I know this method has been used to castrate sheep and cattle and even remove tails. Has anyone else had their vet use this method to remove a tumor or growth? Is it safe? Was it successful? Any problems, discomfort, etc? I am yet to find another vet who has used this method - though need to remove this from my cat somehow as its weight is distressing her every day. Thank you! |

Quoting: arosebyanyothername Unless it's in danger of comprimising some organ, I'd leave it alone. A fatty tumor the size of a baseball was found on my husband about twenty years ago. We did nothing with it and as far as we can tell, it has not continued to grow. If it is bothering you or the dog, the vet can likely cut it off with little problem also. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 883435 May want to switch to something better. THIS ^^ Last month when I read that Beneful was resulting in doggie poisoning/deaths we switched over to Blue Buffalo brand. Our 11 yr old boxer/pit mix has a fatty tumor (so says vet). But since we switched dog food the lump has gone down tremendously. Just fyi. |
