OP, I signed up for a night class at a top private university near me. I was excited that this cool class was being offered at night in the continuing education program and anyone could walk in and sign up for it.

Let me tell you, I dropped that class like a rock after one week. Aside from the fact that it was run in a little group of dysfunctional people who kept griping over their program being thrown off campus and marginalized by being put in continuing ed, the class handouts were ghetto and unreadable, the material covered was so simplistic and limited the videos on YouTube on the topic were better, and the bitches were unprofessional and rude. They were fawning over students from the regular day program and snubbing the continuing ed students. One teacher wouldn't even make eye contact with an overweight black woman in the class and God only knows what I did to piss her off because she got angry every time I said something and said "No" every time I asked a question.

I shot an email to the registrar saying it was the most unprofessional behavior I'd ever seen and asked for my money back. I didn't drop $720 on a 2 credit class to be snubbed by some skank who wasn't going to teach much of anything and acted like she was putting up with us.

That experience reminded me of how bad academics are.

Those people could use a dose of having to make it in the real world.
