There is no link, BUT two years ago this happened to my leg.
It was mid-summer I was using babywipes to cleanse a small cut on my leg, I used them several times a day, and this small cut kept getting worse and wherever I used the wipes this redness that looked like a mild FEB infection started appearing and spreading!
After about two weeks when it had covered about 1/8 of my leg, I realized that it might be the wipes themselves that were causing the spread. I looked up the ingredients and sure enough, PG was the main indredient next to water. The effects of PG listed this as a possibility.
I discontinued using the wipes and my cut and leg fully recovered, but it took about 2 more weeks after that.
That's when I started posted this possibility for others to consider. I have heard of two other cases similar to mine.
Don't use baby wipes with PG, it's harmful to the skin.
No proof, just high suspicion.
