Winter Olympics - Women's combined event cancelled for Sunday

Whistler, Canada - The women's Olympic super-combined race will not take place as planned on Sunday after adverse conditions allowed no training the second straight day on Friday. Friday's training fell victim to a soggy piste after overnight rain, the day after fog denied the women a first session.

The women must have a training run to allow competition. Organizers did not say when the race twinning a downhill and a slalom leg will now be held. The regular women's downhill is set for Wednesday.

The men's downhill is to go ahead as planned on Saturday. Men's training was also impossible on Friday, but they had their mandatory run on Thursday.
