Dudael is the place of imprisonment for Azazel (one of the "fallen" angels), cohort of Semjaza. It is described in the book of First Enoch chapter 10 verse 4-7: And again the Lord said to Raphael: 'Bind Azazel hand and foot, and cast him into the darkness: and make an opening in the desert, which is in Dudael, and cast him therein. And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with darkness, and let him abide there for ever, and cover his face that he may not see light. Raphael was instructed to dig a hole in the desert, and then place rough and jagged rocks upon him (as a marker) after covering the hole. Upper Egypt is the strip of land in southern Egypt, on both sides of the Nile valley, that extends between Nubia, and downriver (northwards) to Lower Egypt. Thus, Upper Egypt is located South, while Lower Egypt is located North. [ link to en.wikipedia.org] I believe the desert of Dudael is the Nubian Desert. And the place where Azazel is imprisoned is located specifically at the Nabta Playa. Nabta Playa was once a large basin in the Nubian Desert, located approximately 800 kilometers south of modern day Cairo or about 100 kilometers west of Abu Simbel in southern Egypt, 22° 32' north, 30° 42' east. Today the region is characterized by numerous archaeological sites. [ link to en.wikipedia.org] There is a circular stone structure in this desert that is dated around 5th millennium BC and considered as one of the world's earliest known archeoastronomical devices (roughly contemporary to the Goseck circle in Germany and the Mnajdra megalithic temple complex in Malta).
