If they do not vote a new extension of benefits, then when state sponsored benefits expire, that will be the end.

In the past, the gov voted a 4 tier extension program that allowed up to 53 weeks extended benefits.

Here in Michigan, there are 500,000 people out of work who depend on that money for survival.
There are no jobs and there will be no new jobs for a long time.
