Actually although the building has a lot of fire damage it really isnt as bad as it looks if you see it in person.

yes, everyone who was there thought it was a bomb, and there were witness reports of a second explosion.

it even shook the building next door - really it should have just made a 'crunch' sound and some small fire like in manhattan private plane crash into a condo.

Sure, at over 160mph it would have only gone "splat".

EDIT: not to mention we still do not know if he loaded it up with extra fuel cans or not.

40 gallons of fuel make a fireball 50 feet wide and taller than the building?

Maybe in the movies..

However, I am not a plane crash expert. I have no ideal what damage a small plane is expected to make on a building.

see the windows next door? intact.

compare with echelon building.. whole floor blown out at least.. way more damage than possible with a light plane.

the ntsb is not even involved in investigating it was deemed a criminal act by FBI.

A true domestic terrorist who tried to kill his family, and then killed innocent people he doesn't know. It's ok to be against taxes, but if anyone is for what this guy did, then they're probably sadistic and very selfish people. Just the same as the people blowing themselves up in the middle east.

you mean 'if anyone is for what we've been told this guy did.'

I'm not for what we've been told.

Re: Does anyone really oppose the IRS plane crash?
Maybe he should have done it on a weekend when no one was likely to be there,
and at that he should have used a remote controlled plane loaded with some really bad-ass bombs that would have destroyed the Whole Building.

I kinda wish he had targeted the MSNBC studios instead. What would you pay to see a plane land on Mad Dog Doberman Olbermann's head?

I get your point.

However "in person" it really doesn't look that bad. I was actully surprised when went over there at took a look.

Fire damage and broken windows mostly.

Impact area looks like what would be expected.

But then again I must say I am no expert.

Personally I think the guy is a patriot.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 895325

No he's not because he attacked tiny helpless pawns, basically civil servants trying to make a living like the rest of us. Presumably in your mind if you don't believe in parking tickets and you receive a few it's the patriotic thing to do to kill a parking attendant.

Re: Does anyone really oppose the IRS plane crash?
whether he was right or wrong is debatable and mostly a moral issue.

But I will say the man had more balls than anyone on this site or possibly in the country.

This country was founded on people dying while fighting for what they believed is right. I believe they would have seen this as a noble death against a sworn enemy.
