They want seven days notice to give you your own money...what's next, a permission slip from Mom? Banks need a reality check, and soon. Hopefully, people will start exercising their opinions with their wallet. Take your money to a credit union, or stick it in a sock under the mattress! |

Then people will take their money out of the big banks and put it in to the small community banks and we can then tell all the big bankster crooks to kiss our royal asses |

I wonderwhere their true loyalties lie? John 3:16 (Amplified Bible) “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([a]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. Nothing could be further from the truth. The only way this economy will be fixed and america can once again be a country of true "free enterprise" is if we get back to the basics of community first...bring back the manufacturing jobs...and empose term limits on the political crooks. It all starts with the local communities and that means supporting mom and pop rather than the corporate scam artists. |

awthrawthr User ID: 896169 United States 02/20/2010 12:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The image of banks locking their doors to keep customers from making withdrawals during a bank run is what immediately came to mind when we heard that Citigroup was telling customers it has the right to prevent any withdrawals from checking accounts for seven days. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 896202"Effective April 1, 2010, we reserve the right to require (7) days advance notice before permitting a withdrawal from all checking accounts. While we do not currently exercise this right and have not exercised it in the past, we are required by law to notify you of this change," Citigroup said on statements received by customers all over the country. What's going on? It seems that this is something of an error. The seven day notice policy only applies to customers in Texas, Ira Stoll reports at The Future of Capitalism. It was accidentally included on customer statements nationwide. "Whatever the explanation, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence in Citi," Stoll writes. "But it's hard to believe a bank would be sending out a notice like that on its statements." [link to www.businessinsider.com] What a huge error for a bank that's already being kept alive solely due to its criminal friends. If that came in the mail on Friday, there could be a lot of Citibank customers withdrawing their money on Monday. IOW, don't worry about the April 1st notice, because they might not make it that far. The new DOOM date has just been moved up. Got pain? Free relief. [link to lowerpain.org] |

He is spot on about how to fix this mess we are in. There is no other way. And yes...we are quickly turning into a fascist state..not a socialist country as so many misguided souls believe. Fascism is the merger of state and corporate powers and that is exactly what is happening. On a side note..it has been reported that wal-mart had a bad quarter. ABSOLUTELY FRICKING WONDERFUL. Maybe the sheeple are starting to wake up and we can send all that made in china crap back where it belongs. MADE IN AMERICA is the only way to go. |

No, a written explanation of why you want the money. that is what would steam me.. but when i closed out a cd from citi last year they really pressured me to stay and open checking etc. then the rep asked what do you plan to do with the money? I said why do you need to know what i'm going to do with my money? I was getting pissed off at that point and then she goes on to all the other products and funds..I just said I am remodeling my kitchen and need it now. of course that was not true. i would like to see banks siuupply customers with a detailed account as what they are doing with depoositors money and depositors should say hey i don;t want you doing that with my money..(like bad home loans) |
