US refuses to endorse British sovereignty in Falklands oil dispute
Hooyah!!!!! Shit is on!

[link to www.timesonline.co.uk]

No more special relationship.

"Washington refused to endorse British claims to sovereignty over the Falkland Islands yesterday as the diplomatic row over oil drilling in the South Atlantic intensified in London, Buenos Aires and at the UN.

Despite Britain’s close alliance with the US, the Obama Administration is determined not to be drawn into the issue. It has also declined to back Britain’s claim that oil exploration near the islands is sanctioned by international law, saying that the dispute is strictly a bilateral issue.

Argentina appealed to the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki Moon, last night to intervene in the dispute, a move Britain adamantly opposes.

“The Secretary-General knows about the issue. He is not happy to learn that the situation is worsening,” Jorge Taiana, the Argentine Foreign Minister, said after meeting Mr Ban in New York. "

Raoul Duke: Look, there's two women fucking a polar bear!
Dr. Gonzo: Don't tell me these things. Not now man.

I am Jack's smirking revenge.

Cause I'm a F****** legend, and this is getting ugly.

Why should we?

We're too busy trying to keep our our own criminal empire going. We don't have the time to keep the Brit's criminal empire going too.

What else would you expect from the administration that backed the X-president of Honduras against the government and people of Honduras even though the X-president violated the Honduran constitution and was legally removed from office by Honduran courts and Honduran military?

What else would you expect from the guy who returned the statue of Winston Churchill (a gift from England) to England, then gave a bunch US region coded DVDs to Prime minister Brown, and an iPod to the queen... but bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia?
"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787

The Monroe Doctrine is a United States policy that was introduced on December 2, 1823, which stated that further efforts by European countries to colonize land or interfere with states in the Americas would be viewed by the United States of America as acts of aggression requiring US intervention.

So if Obama was following the Monroe Doctrine, he'd be backing up the Argies, not the Brits.
