The world has always been ate up with serious bullshit, today the internet brings it all into your house and into your brain, it's not natural nor healthy. Even more so if you like most here just process the bad and none of the good.
Problem is, people just aren't into talking about the good, they are consumed with the bad…..makes their own miserible lives seem better I suppose.

I go to my hunting camp in the middle of nowhere. I drink beer, smoke a doobie or two, hunt, fish, go ATVing, hike, photograph, and veg out. You have no idea how much that energizes me.

I have no means to contact the outside world when I am there, and it is wonderful to be unplug.

Yeah, I thought GLP was kind of a release from the BS, but half the time my heart is so heavy from what I read on here it bothers me when I leave the computer. GLP is a kind of microcosm of society, so you've got to think this is kind of the tip of the iceberg. Other times it's very cathartic, reading someone rail against something the way I want to!

Drudge got to be depressing to me. Not just the daily headlines, but his "two-headed calf" stories as we call them around here. He's turned into news with a splash of The Globe and Ripley's Believe it or Not.
