As usual, The Daily Mail does a good job with their photo spread.
Lots of pathos in those pix,
so much so it almost seems like it was intentionally designed
to effect a crescendo of pathos.

i had the same thought.
someone here who had worked on ships said it was a preposterous idea that the storm could have run that ship up on the jersey shore. i was inclined to agree.
i thought a lot of the shots were over dramatized. there's no doubt there was storm damage, but i don't think nearly as much as they are trying to portray.

Most of my friends and family back in NY have been hit hard by this, several losing cars and/or homes and tremendous damage. Anyone downplaying this storm is in denial.

I was not implying anything about the level of damage inflicted.
It is horrific to be sure.
Rather, I commented on the intentional design of the photo layout.

Hey, WND - I wasn't referring to your post (I hadn't read it, lol)

I was just responding to a lot of comments that it was much ado about nothing. We had a lot of friends and family in Breezy Point and Gerritsen Beach. They were hit hard as were a lot of places. Those pictures are amazing.
