dreaming about my dead ex boss

ok so this is weird, i dreamt i was walking home from the shops and ran into my dead ex boss,i wasn't really close to this guy but we got on ok, i cant remember what we were talking about but he placed something in my left hand and said i'm gonna have to go bye, so i woke up checked the time and it was one minute before my alarm goes off the next thing i do is look in my left hand to see if what he placed in my hand during the dream was there but nothing was there, very strange!! but what does it all mean??!!!
