I think you're right, something might be up. I just came across a random clip about a mountain lion showing up somewhere odd (populated) in CA in the past week. I believe it was L.A. area. The clip said they're in search of food, but why? What happened to their food source that they're now venturing into busy areas like this? I know this isn't unheard of, but with multiple incidences it would seem something is up.

Finally...all my big projects are done this week. No more client projects (should be being paid the final 50% shortly for my client project I concluded a short time ago)...no more articles...just my work day tomorrow and I am ready for a 3-day weekend.

Hell yeah.

I've written 7,000 words today alone between two projects.

Amazing article please pray for the animals left behind , you may have to put an email to read

I don't think I can bring myself to read that. I'm having a hard time with all these animal stories from both Philippines and Australia. I don't think I can take anymore.

I couldn't do the new avatar thing. It's just weird to see something other than what I've seen for years lol, or a variation of it. As much as I loved that new avatar image, I can't do it.

Just checking in. Finally feeling more human. That flu kicks butt!!!!

Hope all are well and doing great!

Much love hugs
 Quoting: WhiteAngel

Good news ! Flu can really take you down, and it seems that the flu of the last few years lasts longer. Although I remember the various flu's we got in the 1970's, they were the worst ! And of course the 1968 Hong Kong flu was a ten-day affair, and then still weak for another couple months.

When I got the flu in the late 60's and the 70's, I can't say I have ever been so ill for so long, Everyone was in bed for a week and school was even cancelled for a week. 68 might be when you are speaking of. Just a kid so I don't remember much except the whole family down with it, and how quiet the neighborhood was, everyone else sick too.

My thoughts were maybe all there natural area had been burned to the point where they could not find there regular diet.

Well that's a very good point. Even though I don't remember the exact location of that other story, CA has had enough fires all over the state that this could be the reason they are displaced.

Just when you thought it was done... NOT...

The insane ground deformation over such a wide area though is very concerning. It could be an indication that the much bigger and more menacing Taal Caldera could be inching towards eruption. That has potential for up to a VEI 7, and they know it. It is why they are keeping that alert level at 4, despite the recent lull in activity.

Keep an eye out as you watch videos for new steam vents from especially the bigger Taal Caldera walls, and also in Taal Lake. The big mountain in the background on most wide shots is classified as an inactive volcano. And there's like four of them on the caldera rim.

If that entire caldera goes up, you will have the doom you were looking for. And it may affect you eventually, no matter where you are, so be careful what you wish for.

I've been following this but I'm not real sure what it means. Is deformation something that we've seen in past eruptions I assume?

On most volcanoes there will be at least some ground deformation prior and during eruption, not only vertically upwards, but laterally to the sides as well.

The big concern here is the much bigger and more dangerous Taal Caldera, should it decide it's time to go off. And alarmingly, this deformation over such a wide area, even far BEYOND the Taal Caldera, is clearly indicating that a MASSIVE magma intrusion is taking place. Where it stops and how it ends though remains to be seen. The larger Taal Caldera has potential for a VEI 7.

And worse, this deformation is occurring far beyond that, even. It is worrying to say the very least, and starting to put this at supervolcano (VEI 8)levels if it continues.

And this post, Luisport.
This is quite worrying.
