Every spring and fall, same thing. Have never been able to figure out the exact allergy. I live in Hawaii so, everything is blooming and pollinating year round. I too have tried every over the counter allergy medicine with no luck. All they do is make me feel weird. Been really intense this past week. I spent one whole day sneezing so hard and so much that my ribs ache! Now that I know what most likely is causing it, I can start searching for a remedy too! “If we are peaceful, if we are happy, we can smile and blossom like a flower, and everyone in our family, our entire society, will benefit from our peace.” Thich Nhat Hanh, Being Peace "But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you." - Job 12:7,8 "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." - Hunter S. Quoting: Rev Woo-Woo I've always joked that I'm allergic to the seasons changing. This has been a very motivated study of mine for 20-years now! LOL Yeah, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but I think I'm finally onto something. I found a website where you can view historical data for weather by city. [link to www.timeanddate.com] Hopefully this can help you too! I used to think it was simply seasonal changes that got me as well, but in Kentucky we can have a 20-30 degree shift and it have no effect on me at all. And so I figure there's something else involved. Using the site above, I found that we had a .50 change in pressures last Tuesday (around the time my problems began). Unfortunately I don't know if that's a massive change or if its tiny and not the 'smoking gun' I'm looking for. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71928005 And it usually coincides with a change in season. likewise..... it just never made sense to be allergenic. You could see the front move in and feel your nose just 'let go'. Last Edited by Subway Prophets on 04/10/2016 03:57 PM "Sir, are you classified as human?" "Negative. Rev Woo-Woo User ID: 57252508 United States 04/10/2016 04:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When you sneeze, the intrathoracic pressure in your body momentarily increases. This will decrease the blood flow back to the heart. The heart compensates for this by changing its regular heart beat momentarily to adjust. However, the electrical activity of the heart does not stop during the sneeze. [link to uamshealth.com] In physiology, intrapleural pressure (also called intrathoracic pressure) refers to the pressure within the pleural cavity. Normally, the pressure within the pleural cavity is slightly less than the atmospheric pressure, in what is known as negative pressure.[1] When the pleural cavity is damaged/ruptured and the intrapleural pressure becomes equal to or exceeds the atmospheric pressure, pneumothorax may ensue. Intrapleural pressure depends on the ventilation phase, atmospheric pressure, and the volume of the intrapleural cavity.[2] At rest we have a negative intrapleural pressure. This gives us a transpulmonary pressure expanding the lungs. Intrapleural pressure is sub-atmospheric. This is due to the recoil of the chest and lungs away from each other. Five Star Bandit (OP) Just A Watcher on the Wall User ID: 71991314 United States 04/10/2016 05:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yes. Seems like a normal sinusitis. Headache, Stuffy Nose, Runny Nose, sinus pressure et al. Let me add though: The various drugs and treatments for it are mostly ineffective. I just used a neti pot - but I knew it was pointless as I don't have a stuffy nose right now. That's an experience btw... a neti pot.... in a word: WOOOOOO!
