The Black Girl Magic Holiday Drive will be collecting culturally-specific donations for young girls here in central Ohio.

COLUMBUS (WCMH) - Wednesday evening, Franklin County Children Services is holding a special toy drive.

The Black Girl Magic Holiday Drive will be collecting culturally-specific donations for young girls here in central Ohio.

Organizers say they want to ensure the children they serve can connect with the toys they receive.

A Facebook page for the event says:

Please bring a culturally specific gift that promotes self love, acceptance and reaffirms the inherent value of black girls. Suggested gifts include apparel, accessories, dolls, art, books, skin and hair products.
It's happening Wednesday, December 14th from 6-8 p.m. at Copious Restaurant, 520 South High Street.
