simplegreen User ID: 76379507 United States 05/17/2018 06:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Birds understand windows just fine. I have Cardinals that I feed daily on my back porch. Sometimes, I'll leave the back door open and put walnuts on a table I have near the back porch on the inside and when the door is open, they will come in and eat on the table inside the house. They are just looking for food. Has it rained recently? simplegreen |

As for the birds constantly hitting the windows, I just didn't understand their strange lack of memory to stop doing this. |

When it hasn't rained, I always feed the birds I like more, because it is a little more difficult for them to find the food they are typically after. Might explain part of it. simplegreen |

A friend of mine has a bird that has been trying to get into a window at his business for 5 years... lol. What kind of birds are they? simplegreen |

I lived in Lansing too, for nearly 15 years. I finally decided to make the move and leave last year and it was the best decision of my life. Did you know it's now the 4th worst city, population under 200,000 in the US according to the FBI? Get out while you can. :) |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 76587450 United Kingdom 05/17/2018 06:59 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So yeah, there's been one bird that keeps flying into my bedroom window. Quoting: Steffenfield I have curtains on there so I'm not sure why it would constantly be doing this. When I go outside, I can see other birds trying to do the same with my neighbor's houses. It happens over and over again, as often as once every 10 to 15 seconds. This is also the third straight day now, with breaks only at night. I've never seen such a thing before and I'm curious as to what is going on here. To be honest, it feels a little like something out of a Stephen King novel. If this continues one more day, I'm going to take some videos and upload them since it's so weird. Anyway, can someone explain what these birds are thinking or attempting to do? Please and thank you. Cool story bro. Feed them birds. Imagine if you had a camera to video it all. Wouldn't it be great |
