If we built thrusters that stuck out the atmosphere, could we move the earth away from the sun?

Put them on the moon and fire them to push the moon away from the Earth, then fire them when the moon is in the right direction and it will pull the Earth with it.

Maybe some sort of anti-gravity propulsion system could cause the moon to move out of it's orbit.

Ion Drive will do, but you would need a few of them at different locations on the moon, to not overly elongate it’s orbit and stuff.

Lets put the thrusters on opposite sides of the earth, pointed in different directions.

We will increase the speed of rotation and days will be only 12 hours long.
