Actually, that’s 500,000 structures without electricity (mostly homes), so minimum 1,000,000 people without power. Probably a lot more when considering apartment buildings.

This is just an example of how far the United States HAS FALLEN and IS FALLING wrt it's economy, it's infrastructure, and it's ability OR DESIRE to care about it's actual citizens.

The absolute wealthiest part of the United States, the San Francisco Bay area, can NOT keep the electricity on during a very normal for the season everyday area wind event. That did NOT happen during the 1950's, 1960's or 1970's ... but today, well that is the new norm for California ... and reflects the rest of the United States too.
