kits User ID: 357079 United States 07/15/2008 10:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have accounts in several banks, several countries, several currencies, and under several names. I'm not one to place all my eggs in one basket, as it were. So if one of those banks or countries economic systems were to tumble, it wouldn't effect me to any severe degree. Even if I had to abandon my country or identity itself due to unforeseen circumstances of the greatest severity, I should be fine. You'd think more would take such precautions, considering it's not difficult to do as I have. And no, I'm not rich or anything. Anyone could do these things. Anyone can protect their financial assets in this way. You just choose not to for some reason. AIM:kits56fa2 |

Rota User ID: 466732 United States 07/15/2008 10:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I agree you work and save as much money as you can. Money works in two ways. Either you work for money or your money works for you. You go out and get loans and max out your credit cards then you are spending others people money. You pay it back plus all the interest they charge. The interest buys you nothing. So if you see something you want....save the money up and buy it in cash. That way you just gave yourself a raise. Cut out all the interest you pay to borrow others people's money and you have more money to buy more things for yourself. Your interest payments go to people that loaned you the money. People who have their money working for them not the other way around. Also there are two ways to buy things. You either buy things that go "up" in value or you buy things that go "down" in value. Change your buying habits. Buy things that go "up" in value and cut out as many things as you can that go down in value. Cars, computers, videos, all go down in value. Antiques, gold, silver, and most of the time land goes up in value. Follow these rules and 100 thousand is nothing to achive even for people who have little money. . . |
