Influenza Sudden Death Syndrome
new disturbing strain ....

Oregon's second swine flu death confirmed: a young Marion County child
by Don Colburn, The Oregonian
Tuesday June 23, 2009, 4:51 PM
Oregon health authorities have confirmed the state's second known death -- in a young Marion County child -- from the new H1N1 influenza virus, also known as swine flu.

The child, identified only as "younger than 5 years old," died June 15, and infection with the swine flu virus was confirmed by the Oregon State Public Health Laboratory Tuesday. The child had "no known underlying medical conditions and a two-day history of fever," and was not hospitalized, officials said.

A 6-year-old Brampton girl with swine flu died only a day after she began showing flu-like symptoms.

The child, who attended Roberta Bondar Public School, passed away a week ago and it was only discovered after she died that she had the H1N1 influenza virus.

Colombia confirms second case of A/H1N1 flu death

BOGOTA, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Colombia confirmed on Sunday that a28-year-old man infected with A/H1N1 influenza had died on June 19in the capital Bogota, becoming the country's second case of deathfrom the new disease.

The Social Protection Ministry said the man developed symptoms of influenza on June 17 and consulted a medical institution on June 18, when his condition had already become very serious. The man died of multi-organ failure on June 19 after his systemic symptoms suddenly deteriorated.

6 year old from Canada:

Quote:
Rubjit was pronounced dead at hospital barely 24 hours after showing signs of a fever. Later, doctors told her parents she had the H1N1 influenza virus. She is believed to be the youngest person in Canada with the virus to have died.

On the evening of June 14, Rubjit had a bit of a fever and complained that her legs and arms hurt. The next morning, Kuldip took her to a walk-in clinic and the doctor prescribed the pain reliever Advil.

By the afternoon, the little girl's fever was gone but she was complaining of a stomach ache.

Kuldip again took her to the clinic at about 2 p.m. The doctor gave her pills and told the Grade 1 student at Roberta Bondar School in Brampton to take it easy. She was fine for a bit, said Kuldip, but she kept asking "me to massage her arms and legs.''

In the evening, when Rubjit said her stomach was still hurting, Kuldip and her husband, Gurmukh, decided to take her immediately to the Georgetown Hospital.

Kuldip was driving. It was about 8 p.m. and they were five minutes from the hospital. Rubjit sat in the back seat with her dad, talking -- as usual -- and sipping apple juice.

A minute later, Rubjit suddenly put her hand on her chest and said it was hurting.

The next minute, her body went limp and she stopped breathing

yeah, they talk about fever, muscle/body pain, and organ failure, but no mention of coughing or congestion- which I guess could fall under 'flulike' conditions- but cause of death is wierd here- no talk of pneumonia at all.

There was a 20 yr old girl that died of it in San Diego county two weeks ago. She actually died in the emergency room at a local hospital.

Now members of her family have it, too. She worked at a KFC, and with elderly or retarded in a group home, also.

Partly bioweapon yes, definitely.

But this is just a mix of all the most serious...

There was a little rendition of bird flu over in somewhere years ago, those who contracted it dropped dead within 3 days.

Sounds like a mesh up of the same thing to me...

Just as serious, but it's being held under wraps...

Wouldn't want everyone to get all scared.

The Stand is starting to happen. If you haven't read that book, pick it up immediately. The illness that takes out most of the population kills very quickly, two days, and mutates within the body (i.e. you start to feel better, then get worse and die).

The most important take-away message is how the survivors cope with a huge depopulation. Ignore the good v. evil part.

I'll never forget the narrative where they go through the Lincoln Tunnel filled with dead bodies.

I wonder if all these famous people suddenly dieing is a clue here.
When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.

Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!"

I've only seen the movie. But it is probably my favorite made for TV "B" budget movie of all time.

Re: Influenza Sudden Death Syndrome
Several factors can cause the electrical problems that lead to SCA. These factors include:

Coronary artery disease (CAD), which reduces blood flow to the heart muscle
Severe physical stress, which raises the risk for abnormal electrical activity in the heart
Inherited disorders that disrupt the heart's electrical activity
Structural changes in the heart that cause electrical signals to spread abnormally

SCA rarely occurs in children unless they have inherited problems that make them likely to have SCA. Only a very small number of children have SCA each year.

SCA= sudden cardiac arrest
