The Importance of Light

Jesus tells us in the Gospel of Thomas, an un-canonized holy book, the following:
"Jesus said, If your leaders say to you, Look, the (Father's) kingdom is in the sky, then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, It is in the sea, then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is within you."

Within Us
It is like being born out of our mothers from death to this very life and our current progression from that darkness to light. We all have God within us; part of us; we just need to amplify that 'light.' Thus our lives are sacred. Time is light.

The word "light" appears about 270 times in the Bible.
The first time the term light is used, is of course in Genesis, very early on:

Genesis 1:3
And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

Genesis 1:4

So, light is God, darkness is Satan or evil. But, light can reach you in the night, of course, we can see that and God informs us:

Genesis 1:16
God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.
