[quote:Anonymous Coward 589279:MV8xMDgyMzg4XzE3MjI0MzQ0XzQ5OUY5MTU5] [quote:Anonymous Coward 986204] Geometry is an easy to perceive principal upon which the universe is founded. The rules of Geometry are fixed. There is not trickery or misdirection in Geometry. Geometry is something upon which we can all agree, regardless of the superstitions and cultures that govern the rest of our lives. ------------------------------------------------------------- I disagree. it all comes down to individual perception. how can you truly know anyone else is perceiving the universe and its geometry in the same way that you are? I don't think there are any rules, only limitations on creation from the source of all geometry imposed by small human minds. If you take the position of a solipsist there can be no possibility of communications with another. If I place a 24 inch rule in your hand and you are unable to perceive it as a 24 inch rule then I cannot communicate with you at all. I agree that the human mind is very small and very limited in its ability to perceive the grand scheme of things, but even from our small vantage point we can see that things proceed according to rules. Gravitation operates according to a constant. We do not know what gravitation is, but it is the same for two observers standing next to each other discussing it. An angle of 90 degrees is a quarter of a circle, no matter where we stand within that part of the universe open to our perceptions. The rules that govern the operation of the universe are surprisingly few, given its vast scale, and they are the bounds within which our imaginations must work to create. What limits creativity is thinking that all the rules are known.
yes I see your point. I'm not ready to resign to solipsisticism yet :) but I do think there is only one law in our universe and all of the scientific rules and theories are only describing smaller aspects of the one law that our whole reality is based on. I can't prove that assertion but it's what I believe at present time. I also think our world is a shared holographic reality that we are all consciously and un-consciously co-creating. Not in a figurative sense either I think consciousness is the fundamental particle of which all reality is made up from. I can't support this with empirical evidence but from my experiences it is the only conclusion I could come up with that seems to fit the data. This leads into how I've been trying to raise my consciousness so I can attain greater control over the creative power I believe I have, that everyone has. In my opinion that's why the whole media industry is so heavily controlled (to the extent it can be of course) because it puts thoughtforms into the minds of those who buy into the reality they want to create. and because of mass consumption and the fact that we are all co-creators if they have a critical mass of souls creating what they want it will come into being.
