[quote:Anonymous Coward 994212:MV8xMDkwNDUxXzE3Mzg0Mjg1X0FDNDk5NDhG] It's an old Babylonian teaching myth - a metaphor for the human spirit's release from the material world. The Hebrews just incorporated it into their oral tradition to make the same kind of point. Somewhere down the line it was taken for real and children were brought up to think it was fact instead of fiction. [/quote]

There seems to be just speculation and interpretationsof interpretations but reportedly no known document or archeological remain mentioning either the exodus or the biblical plagues or for that matter Moses.
One would think that an historical event of this proportion would be found in some way or form in ancient Egypt even if only in some tomb. Surely the plagues itself and the effect they allegedly had on the pharaoh and his offspring would have been documented even if maybe a twisted version of it. But to this day reportedly NOTHING of substance.
