Original Message Why? Because the US has been backing Taiwan since then.

China sees Taiwan as their own.

Anyone backing Taiwan is an enemy of China...

China has been at war with America since then but they know they are too weak, at the moment, to take it back by force because of the US.

But once the US falls, or China becomes strong enough, they will take it back.
