I tried 10 yrs going to meetings, doing service work, even worked in a de-tox, it wasn't until I stopped having anything to do with the "program", that I could stop.
It really only taught me that some people just can't handle the stuff.Reminding myself that I am one of those people on a daily basis is what keeps me sober, not a cult or God, just me being honest with myself.
I post this to let others know that AA is not the only way, and all the other sober people I know agree.
Its true that sometimes it is the last house on the block for some, And I'm not bashing it, but know that there is another way.
Do not drink.
If you have problems it will only get worse.
Take it from an ex under the bridge living stp,wrekin crew, a camper,... the shit will bring you low.
