[quote:VoiceOfReason 3280012:MV8xMzU2Mzk4XzYwNDgyMzkxXzVEMEIyNzE4] [quote:glpacc:MV8xMzU2Mzk4XzIyMzYwMjAwX0UxRTU5Rjcx] It's easy to see the Urantia book has the same tone as the newage spiritual bullshit with its mumbojumbo technical terms that really don't make any sense when analysed. Behind all the crap about infinite potential, experiential ascension, mansion worlds and other hocus-pocus, one can easily see the usual satanic deception of the godhood of man and immortality -- The same BS satan used to deceive Eve in the garden.
I take the Urantia Book as a fun sort of Christian fiction. It's a neat thought experiment concerning the details of what happened in Earth's pre-history. When it comes to spiritual truth though, you have to stick with the Bible. Jesus said, "by your fruits you shall know them" in reference to false prophets. I grew up Baptist, but honestly the only group of people who profess Christ that consistently produce good fruit as a group are the Mormons. Evangelicals need to pray and think about what it means to be doers of the Word and not hearers only. That includes arguing with others on the internet; it's hard to see how that is demonstrating the love of God or loving others as yourself (i.e. the 1st & 2nd greatest commandments that are the foundations for all of scripture according to Jesus).

:bump: Few of them have ever heard Jesus say anything... in fact sometimes Jesus gets heard the best in these modern times by those in other religions...who are searching open minded. As to doers of the word.. thanks for that.. because the God knowing Human beings DOES the WORD.. manifesting God the father on this plane. :hf:
I have seen so much posted here at GLP about the Urantia book. A certain person who shall remain nameless feels it is in their best interest to tell everyone who is pondering, or asking questions about Christianity to read the Urantia book.
IMO; this is nothing more than another Channel for the evil one to do his work and pull people away from the truth they are trying to gather for themselves.
A careful search will reveal that everything in the Urantia book was channeled from spirits. And for what purpose one might ask? It let's everyone be cozy with a New Age religion that offers a much easier path to God.
More to come soon.
