[quote:Anonymous Coward 1255402:MV8xMzg3ODA2XzIyODg0MzU3XzI3REI0RUIz] The poster from Turkey answered correctly. It's a natural phenomena when huge amounts of water is displaced around a man made barrier, the jetty. By the way, people...quick relying on the images of CNN, they loop them to make them seem like a longer events. One of the reasons why I stopped watching cable news. [/quote]
Original Message
I've been watching my local news and they keep showing footage of a giant spiral in the water off the coast of japan, does anyone know what this is and why it's happening?
It appears to be near what looks like a very long road/bridge over the water, maybe access to island? They aren't showing this on any of the u.s. channels that I get. Only canadian t.v.
You might be able to check out ctv news online and see if they have a clip of the footage I've seen.
