Original Message An error in a flash site I made was pointed out to me a couple of months ago.

The problem only occurred in Google Chrome.

I informed Google about the problem along with many other people.

Flash is a huge gaming platform and some of the gaming developers were not pleased at all.

I naturally thought the problem would be addressed with the release of version 10 of Chrome.

This is not the case.

Chrome randomly fails to be able to read the height and width of a dynamic object.

With Chrome's penetration now heading towards one quarter of all users.. this is a major problem.

I have set up this test page here:

See how many errors you recieve!

Is Google deliberately trying to sabotage Flash®?

I would say it is more than likely.. and Google are not the only ones.

HTML5 seems to be very high on the agenda for a few of the major stakeholders.

And they all seem to be yelling "Death to Flash®!!"

If Google has allowed a very obvious error to exist with their implementation of Flash®..

Is this a moral thing to do?

Is this 'doing no evil'?
