Articles coming out like the one I linked to above showing experts are now saying U.S. will have some radiation according to the map, but still are trying to say "only little bit". The first article in the first post basically says it all. Japans gov is not giving readings. Without these readings, you can't estimate fallout amount. If our gov finds high readings, I doubt they will say much. Considering the buyout of KIO3 pills and retailers not being able to get more only adds to the fear of both Governments covering up. The Japanese government's radiation report for the country's 47 prefectures Wednesday had a notable omission: Fukushima, ground zero in Japan's nuclear crisis. Measurements from Ibaraki, just south of Fukushima, were also blanked out.
Radiation experts in the USA say that the lack of information about radioactivity released from the smoldering reactors makes it impossible to gauge the current danger, project how bad a potential meltdown might be or calculate how much fallout might reach the USA.
