[quote:Anonymous Coward 1266396:MV8xNDI1Njk1XzIzNDg1NzA2XzEzOEFCODQ0] Incentive to: Grow a garden or edible landscape. Become aware of what we are capable of. Be content with what we have. Trade or mend clothes, instead of shop. Refinish furniture or build it ourselves. Make our own yard art, & save flower seeds. Give a friend a hair cut to save money. Bake a loaf of bread with the kids. Hang a rope tree swing for some free fun. Share with a neighbor. Play checkers instead of browse Wal-mart. Find joy in creative expression, instead of material things. Put in a fireplace and read beside it. Inflation can be an opportunity for better things, it's all in how you look at it. If you think it's doom, you experience it as doom. If you consider it an opporunity, talk about fun. WhooHoo! The more they inflate, the less people will need them. Once the masses turnaway, they will cease to have any relevance. The masses will figure it out and grow from the experience. [/quote]

The world's largest retailer is working with suppliers to minimize the effect of cost increases and believes its low-cost business model will position it better than its competitors.
Still, inflation is "going to be serious," Wal-Mart U.S. CEO Bill Simon said during a meeting with USA TODAY's editorial board. "We're seeing cost increases starting to come through at a pretty rapid rate."
