[quote:Anonymous Coward 1477938:MV8xNjAzNzkzXzI2NTAwNzEwXzI4RUZEMDg=] [quote:Anonymous Coward 1298235] It's about time? No wonder your signature says you'll take an order of one world. Jus because someone has diabetes now there supposed to lose an ability to have a livelihood? Try getting by without a license in the US. Unless you live in a city, and your doomed anyway if you do, you can't get by. This is just another overzealous government grab. More accidents are caused from idiots with cell phones than diabetics. But you probably use your cell phone while driving too.
I dont use my cellphone, But I always see a blonde woman gabbing away , phone pressed to her ear and shes driving and often under the speed limit then speeding up erratically, never consistant. They wouldnt have the ability to react in time to a near accident Phones should be banned in all driving. It can wait until a stop or destination.
Original Message
Up to one million people
with diabetes could lose their driving licences because of harsh new European rules classifying them as unfit to drive.
Experts claim the ‘unnecessarily strict’ changes will affect
hundreds of thousands who have been driving for decades without problems.
...the rules amount to a blanket ban on diabetics taking insulin who occasionally have ‘hypos’ – episodes of hypoglycaemia, or low blood sugar,
which may cause blackouts if not countered with a sugary snack.
