Philippine authorities have ordered the evacuation of more than 100,000 people as typhoon Nesat brought heavy rains and strong winds.
The eastern province of Albay, 325km southeast of Manila, is in the path of Typhoon Nesat.
Governor Joey Salceda suspended school classes and stopped small sea vessels from sailing due to strong winds and huge waves.

Typhoon Nesat Threatens Philippines, China
Typhoon Nesat is churning in the western Pacific Ocean, just under 400 miles west of the northern Philippines, slowly gathering strength.
This comes on the heels of this past week's impact from Typhoon Roke in Japan.
As you can see in the map below, Nesat is forecast to intensify to Category 4 status before slamming into the northern Philippine island of Luzon late Monday, U.S. time.
