Original Message I was awakened today, by dozens of double sonic booms that literally shook the house. It sounded exactly like the Space Shuttle double sonic booms, except it is now retired.

Today, a fleet of some type of supersonic craft passed by producing the dozens of double sonic booms. I am not aware of any existing fighter jet that produces double sonic booms. This has been happening quite frequently around here. A Google search only comes up with the Space Shuttle as a source of double sonic booms.

Is this the secretive Aurora program re-entering and headed to Edwards Air Force Base in the desert? Or is it a bunch of Top Guns from the Miramar Marine Corps Air Station 60 miles south of here? I don't know, but I cannot find any evidence of any fighter jet that produces double sonic booms. I am leaning towards the secretive Aurora program, which might also be why we retired the Space Shuttle, if we already have a fleet of Aurora vehicles that have made it obsolete!
