[quote:David Thorne 5139538:MV8xNzAwMzkzXzgyNUQ0RkU0] Surprised nobody had posted this yet? The whole reason I thought you guys visited this site was to be ready when something like this happened... :hiding: So apparently its passed us but not outside of the minimum pull threshold - gravity whiplash, so to speak. Currently it is heading on its orbit back towards Earth, and should be visible in the morning sky within a few hours flying over the East Coast of America. I wish all my brothers and sisters out there the best of luck. http://edition.cnn.com/2011/11/08/opinion/urry-asteroid-earth-risk/?hpt=hp_bn9 http://news.discovery.com/space/YU55-trajectory-recaculated-alarms-scientists.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2058909/Asteroid-2005-YU55-flyby-video-Earths-near-miss-space-rock-closer-moon.html [/quote]
