[quote:Anonymous Coward 1486940:MV8xNzA2MjU1XzI4MjA1Nzg1X0UyQjFGNDcy] I was 8 years old, and I grew up going to the Christian churches. We were at a Baptist church at that time in my life. I remember a family friend was visiting with her kids. I think I had been hearing about salvation. So, I decided I wanted to pray the prayer and have her help me with it. So she came in my room when I was going to bed, and I prayed to repent of my sins and give my life to Christ. I asked him to forgive me and be my savior. I was so excited after that, I went to school and told my little Chinese friend about it. We lived in San Francisco and there was a very diverse culture, it was like the United Nations, and I was often the only white kid, maybe one or two others around. Certainly did not grow up with racism. Anyway, I could not wait to tell Mona, and so she wanted to say the prayer, too. She was so cute, with her little Chinese-girl hair cut and her red satin Chinese jacket she wore, and a big grin. She said the prayer, and she loved the way she felt so much when Christ came into her heart, she kept asking to do it again and again! Too funny. I always wonder what ever happened to her, and pray she is still aware of God in her life since that day. The thing that stands in the way the most is a person's pride. People want to earn their salvation, or think they are good enough to have their good works suffice, or they don't want to trust in what they cannot see, or they are jaded by life experiences. That is the parable of the sower, where some of the seed fell on rocks, some the birds ate up, some grew up and the sun withered it, then other fell on good soil. If the soil is ready (as your heart is now), then the seed will take root, and grow something beautiful and new in your life. The more you give to God of yourself, the more he will give back to you. It's like when they do that show on TV, Pimp My Ride (haha) and they give them their old clunker, and it gets made-over to be something new with all the extras. I find that when I trust something to God in my life, he can take it way further and use it in much more amazing ways than I ever even could have thought of. The word says today, if you hear his voice, do not turn away as they did in the desert (the Israelites/Moses) who ended up wandering for 40 years and never saw the promised land. God has promises for those who put their trust in him, and he is telling us to take hold of them while we can. [/quote]

People that don't believe in the bible, please be kind, just for today, I'm hurting and want to hear how others came to find Jesus in their hearts! Is it really as simple as some say, or does it take a lot of learning and ????? Thank you in advance!
I love the "bible tards" as GLP calls them, do you have verses you can explain, or just a miracle that made you believe?
