If you do you will have a blast with the AK you can get surplus ammo 150$ for 1000 rounds
but wouldn't you have to do a lot more cleaning if you use that crappy cheap commie ammo?
Original Message
I recently got $400 dollars for Christmas, with another 70 I can set aside for gun purchase. So I need help on the next addition to my family.
I own several handguns and some .22 rifles. I know a shotgun and semi-auto main rifle are a requirement for any good SHTF prep.
I can get an AK for $470, or H&R/Mossberg 88 for under $200. With the shotgun I would have plenty of money left over for ammo, but the AK would take up all I have to spend. The left over money from buying a shotgun would be great, but I have a chance to get an AK right now.
Tough call. Shotgun or AK-47 for SHTF?
