I have a good friend of mine that has a rare form of lymphoma. He is currently on the Bone Marrow Transplant list. Being the skeptic that I am about medical practices, I'm a bit worried about the 2 options of donation to the patient.

1. They do surgery on the back of your pelvic bone to extract
2. They put you on a drug for 5 days and then take blood from one arm put through a machine and put back into the other arm.

Of course I understand the possibility of being a match is nil, however, I would love to know if any of you have done this and what has been your experience?
