None of us should hand over tax money without having a say in how it's spent. It is squandered in Canada on $2M fake lakes, $2B+ on G20, parliamentary fat cats and super prisons for a dropping crime rate.

The G20 was nowhere near $2B... More like $800 million to $1 billion and it was out turn to host it.

As for the prisons, it's not a glamourous issue and no government really wants to spend money on them, but many of our institutions have decayed to the point that the UN was considering whether or not being confined in one constituted "cruel and unusual punishment."

Declining crime or not, there is still crime and if we want to keep people who actually deserve to be behind bars imprisoned longer we need to have the space for them.  These two-year sentences for child rape and house arrest for serious offenses have got to stop.

That's fine if they want the wealthy to pay more, but my problem with the government is their blatant mismanagement of our tax dollars whether you are rich or middle or poor.

We all should be holding them accountable.

I wonder how many millions of dollars they will "find" (it was lost but now it's found) this year.
